How It Works
Four steps, about six weeks to a settled formulation.
1 — Tell us what is going on
A short intake form: your main concern, sleep, digestion, energy through the day, appetite, stress, medication and medical history. Fifteen minutes.
This is genuinely read before your consultation, not filed. It is also the record your physician works from, so the more honest it is, the better the assessment.
2 — Consultation with a registered physician
Forty minutes, by video or phone, at a slot you choose.
Your physician assesses your prakriti (constitution) and vikriti (current imbalance) — the two together are what determine a formulation. Expect questions that seem unrelated to why you came: bowel habit, sleep timing, how you respond to heat and cold, how you have changed over the last two years.
Consultations are conducted under the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the Central Council of Indian Medicine. If your physician judges that you need an in-person examination or a conventional medical opinion, they will tell you, and they will say so early.
3 — Your formulation
Prepared against your consultation, labelled with your name and the date, and sent with written guidance: dose, timing, whether it is taken with warm water, milk or honey, and what to eat or avoid alongside it.
Ayurvedic preparations are not fast. Most formulations are assessed over eight to twelve weeks. Anyone promising an overnight change is selling you something other than Ayurveda.
4 — Review at four weeks
A twenty-minute follow-up. What shifted, what did not, what to adjust.
This is the step most online sellers skip, and it is the step that decides whether the formulation works. A first formulation is an informed hypothesis. The review is where it becomes a treatment.
What we will not do
- We will not tell you to stop prescribed medication. If a formulation could interact with something you take, we adjust the formulation, not your prescription.
- We will not treat an emergency. Chest pain, breathlessness, sudden severe symptoms — call your doctor or go to a hospital.
- We will not sell you a formulation without a consultation. Not as a convenience, not on request.
Practical questions
Do I need to be in India? No. Consultations happen on call and video, and your medicines are shipped to you anywhere in the world.
Is my information private? Your intake form and consultation notes are confidential clinical records. We record your consent at intake, we tell you how long we keep your records, and you can ask us to delete them.
What if Ayurveda is not the right answer? Then you will be told that. It is a short consultation and a refunded fee, and it is a better outcome than a formulation that was never going to help.
